"Kanopi di Borneo" which translates “Canopy in Borneo” is inspired by the local biodiversity in Northeast Borneo of Malaysia. The name itself is derived from Malay language. The emerging Bornean eco-tourism features wild and cultivated flowering and non-flowering plants throughout the region. The centre art is a batik inspired art that features various of these plant varieties seen when one takes a canopy walk in a reserved area or forest. This includes Rafflesia, Periuk Kera (pitcher plants), Bunga Raya (Hibiscus) and other significant plants in North Borneo.
